This sweetheart has called the ghostly streets of Carlton home for a few years.
Local folks cared for the stray, leaving her food, treats, and clean water.
While comfortable in their company she nonetheless stayed at arm's length
of everyone having never belonged to a responsible caregiver thus never properly socialized.
Every year she dropped another litter.
This year (2010) folks contacted Huts for Mutts and in May we set out a trap
to catch her, whisking her off to the vet for spaying, vaccinations, worming, and Advantix application.
All fixed! We returned "the honorary mayor of Carlton" to her
hometown...free to roam and visit her friends but not to procreate. Thank you Carlton for caring~
UPDATE! Our little Princess has become more social and less fearful of getting near to Carlton residents!
So much so she followed one special gentleman everywhere until completely winning his heart! Our girl now has her very
own home!
